I like the "On this day" framing for the Sydney Opera House.

I think our followers would find Calico Jack interesting because of  we can credit him with the iconic Jolly Roger flag:

"He is most remembered for two things: the design of his Jolly Roger flag, a skull with crossed swords, which contributed to the popularization of the design."

Sadly, the flag is not in the public domain: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Jolly_Roger#/media/File:Calico_jack_pirate.png

But his image is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calico_Jack?utm_content=buffer409ed&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer#/media/File:Rackham,Jack.JPG

On this day in 1973, the Sydney Opera House in Australia officially opened. Today it hosts more than 1,500 performances each year attended by some 1.2 million people.
