Very interesting!
I will certainly attend the conference and, if possible, I will think of a proposal concerning teaching at University level in Ancient History, Archeology and Art History.
All the best

Stefano

Hi all,

(and sorry for cross-posting)

On 3&4 September 2015 in Brussels, Wikimedia Belgium will co-organise an
international conference aimed at bringing together professionals and
policy makers with an interest in sound and image preservation.

http://www.soima2015.org/

The basic idea is to see what practical and legal challenges there are to
preserving non-written content and to start working on solutions together
with other organisations and decision-makers.

Currently we're looking for people who might have something interesting to
say. The call for papers is organised along four threads:
1.Memory, Intangible Heritage and Creative Expressions
2. Sustaining Sound and Image Heritage
3.Creative Use and Access
4. Education and Training: Current Needs and Future Possibilities

Deadline is 15 February. See attached files for more information or just
ask us.

Cheers,
Dimi & Romaine
