The European Encyclopedia Network seems to be closely related or overlapping to activities of a group of national encyclopedias from (mostly) Europe and also a few northern American countries with conferences in 2022 and 2020. Videos of some of the presentations have been published at https://www.youtube.com/@leksikografski-zavod/videos.

I would like to highlight the presentation made by Naja Bentzen in 2020 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6spMpBNPIs&ab_channel=LeksikografskizavodMiroslavKrle%C5%BEa) who wrote an EPRS in-depth analysis in 2018 about European Online encyclopedias: https://www.europarl.europa.eu/RegData/etudes/IDAN/2018/630347/EPRS_IDA(2018)630347_EN.pdf

To me personally, it is a shame that - best of my knowledge - no local chapter has ever been in touch with them before, but the decental nature of Wikipedia could also mean that no news of a contact ever reached my ear (shame on me then in that case).

Hi Dimi,

with regard to EEN: Have you found out that behind this project is Erik Bolstad, who published a paper on the great norwegian encyclopdia in 2019? https://hrcak.srce.hr/file/329427

Just in case ...

Ciao Henning
