Wikimedians will be hosting exciting sessions at RightsCon in February, 2025! We're still compiling all of the accepted sessions, but so far there's a great mix of topics and speakers from those on this list including Ceslause, Eric, Mehman, and more.

Please note that the deadline to apply for the conference's Community Support Fund is September 6. You can apply via the RightsCon Proposal Portal. Note that the funding available is limited, so be sure to examine the eligibility requirements and selection criteria.

RightsCon historically has robust support structures in place for those traveling to the conference in-person as well as data packages for those attending remotely.

Launched in 2014 by members of Taiwan’s open source community, the Open Culture Foundation (OCF) advocates for open technology as a means to secure digital rights and internet freedoms. A trusted organization in Taiwan and longtime RightsCon community member, OCF helps governments, enterprises, and NGOs understand the benefits of adopting open source technologies, and promote the importance of open data to the public sphere.

Bringing their extensive experience supporting international conveinings in Taiwan and vibrant network of tech and civil society groups in the region, OCF will play a pivotal role in expanding and strengthening our multi-stakeholder model and enabling access to our summit, ensuring RightsCon remains a dynamic, vibrant, and diverse space for the community.

We believe OCF is the ideal partner to support our mission to not only bring RightsCon to East Asia, but to bring East Asia to RightsCon! Learn more on our blog.
