Dear GLAM Community,
We are thrilled to invite you to contribute to Wikimania 2025, the 20th edition of our flagship conference, taking place in Nairobi, Kenya from August 6-9, with a pre-conference on August 5. This year’s theme, “Wikimania at 20: Inclusivity. Impact. Sustainability.”, celebrates two decades of knowledge-sharing and community collaboration.
The Call for Program Proposals is now open and will close on 31 March 2025. We encourage you to submit proposals aligned with the conference theme that highlight innovative ideas, showcase impactful initiatives, or address challenges related to galleries, libraries, archives, and museums (GLAM). Whether you choose to present remotely, through a pre-recorded presentation, or onsite in Nairobi, we welcome all modes of participation!
To help spark ideas, here are a few topics that may align with the conference theme:
● Innovative digital preservation strategies that ensure sustainability in GLAM institutions.
● Inclusive GLAM partnerships that bring underrepresented voices to the forefront.
● Impactful community-driven projects showcasing how GLAM spaces can foster global knowledge-sharing.
We encourage you to share your unique perspectives and help shape meaningful conversations at the conference.
