Dear African Wikimedians,
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who joined us for the
launch of Africa Wiki Challenge 2025, held on Friday, May 23rd! Your
presence — both in person at the National Museum of Ghana and virtually,
made the event truly memorable.
The event featured a compelling keynote address by the founder of the
African Diasporan Network, along with a dynamic panel discussion that
explored the campaign theme:
“Reclaiming Our Narrative: Justice for Africans and the Diaspora through
Reparations.”
This year’s theme is deeply important but not always familiar to many
within the movement, which is why we are committed to continuing the
conversation and providing guidance throughout the campaign.
