Organisers of the African Wikimedia Developers Project would like to change
the official name and subscription email list of the *"**African Wikimedia
Developers Project"* to "*African Wikimedia Technical Community."*
We are in the process of re-branding the whole project into a technical
community that will be focusing on grooming and managing technical
contributors in Africa. So far, we have been able to grow a technical
community which involves not only developers but other technical
contributors such as* Designers, translators for localization,
Documentation writers, Data Science Professionals* (*Data Scientists,Data
Analysts, Machine Learning Engineers, AI professionals and NLP Specialists*)
and *QA engineers* from *Automated Testers* to *Manual Testers.*
With these professionals in this community and some tech enthusiasts who
are willing to learn and contribute to the movement technically, we are
looking forward to broadening this project into a technical community to
focus on all technical areas aside the developers contributions to the
Wikimedia movement as a whole.
We would like to change the name of the project from "African Wikimedia
Developers Project" to "*African Wikimedia Technical Community*", to ensure
that the aforementioned contributors can also be a part of the project. We
are looking forward to updating the whole mediawiki page and meta page for
the current AWMD project with the new name.
To help us with this transition phase, we would like you to kindly fill the
survey below.

We will appreciate your effort in filling the form to help us with this
transition.
Thank You.
Kind Regards
