Hello Community Members,
With only a week to go, this is a reminder about *The Ghana Polls project*
.[1]
The project is a campaign that is targeted at increasing Ghana’s visibility
on Wikipedia and the web at large by curating and creating content about
Ghana’s election process and the key actors involved.
With the conversation running simultaneously on Social media via
#TheGhanaPolls2020, every community member can play a role in contributing
to the success of this campaign.
We encourage every community member to go out and vote. We also encourage
you to share content (photos, videos) about events unfolding in and around
polling stations, with us on social media and especially on whatsapp.
A *Whatsapp group *[2] has been *specially created* for those interested in
sharing content with us.
Content can later be uploaded on Commons [3] and will add to the edits of
contributors.
Looking forward to having you onboard this project.
Regards,
Jeffter

Hello Community Members,
I write to officially inform you about *The Ghana Polls project*.[1]
It is a campaign that is targeted at increasing Ghana’s visibility on
Wikipedia and the web at large by curating and creating content about
Ghana’s election process and the key actors involved.
We have selected a few members to participate in an *election-2020
hackathon*, which consists of live updates on Wikipedia on the night of the
elections. The selections were made based on members' active status within
the community and their interest in contributing to the project.

Dear Community members.
This is to serve as a reminder for the event happening today.
The WikiWomen’s User Group invites all women/womxn to a meeting on Saturday
Nov. 14 16:00 - 18:00 UTC. The purpose is to discuss the upcoming Movement
Strategy global conversations and our priorities for implementation in
2021.
As you may know, the Movement Strategy recommendations [1][2] were
finalized back in May of this year. Without the possibility of working in
person, the next steps had to take place online. The recommendations were
written over two years by many Wikimedians, including some of you. As a
result, there are many initiatives and actions [3] and the movement has
been asked to decide which ones should be prioritized for implementation in
2021. There will be global conversations happening on November 21+22 to
bring these priorities together.
It is now time for women/womxn communities to gather and discuss what we
should work on together in 2021, starting with this call [4]
Kindly indicate your participation on Meta [5] or register here [6]. Please
find the link to the meeting on Zoom [7]
Looking forward to having this discussion with you to help shape the future
of our movement as we envision it.
We do require assistance with documentation of the conversations and
translations. Anyone interested should reach out to me (
stellaagbley(a)gmail.com).
Best Regards
Stella Sessy Agbley
