We hope this email finds you well. We invite you to join the next episode of WikiAfrica Hour "Offline Wikis, the need and the available options”
We are very excited to discuss this topic with the episode guests and your joining is very valuable.
What can you expect from the episode?
Not all places have stable access to the internet, and as the Wikimedia community aims at equity and variability, we need to focus on finding methods to reach places with little connectivity to guarantee free knowledge distribution everywhere. In this episode, guests who have had experience working on offline projects and initiatives will discuss their methods, digital divide, ways of housing and distributing static content, and what support is offered from the Wikimedia Foundation, chapters and user groups. We will also analyse examples of settled offline projects that serve Africa's Wikimedia communities and beyond.
