Hi Mirko,

Currently the app, which is basically in state of a functional prototype,
requires either a touchscreen (which I don´t have) or it is controlled by a virtual mousepointer automatically provided by QT. While this works, it is not exactly user friendly on non-touch devices.

Aa, a mouse pointer in Qt, that sounds promising, that is exactly where gtk failed us.

Therefore  I plan as next step to add keypad support. (In particular scrolling of article with keypad).

What are the requirements for your application? How are you controlloing it?

The easiest is to check our webpage[1], it contains the specs and pics. Basically we have a clamshell with a full QWERTY on 32MB RAM and 366MHz with a 3" non-touch screen.

For controlling the mouse cursor we'd have a 4-way key and for scrolling additional pageUp and pageDown buttons.

Regarding resource requirements I cannot tell exactly yet. I have changed the zimlib cluster cache setting to reduce ram requirements, and probably some further tweaking can be done. However, as it¨s based on QT I don¨t think that is exactly requireing very few resources.

Zimlib runs fine on the Ben (big thanks to Tommi again), so that shouldn't be a problem. I haven't seen qt in action live yet, only from this video[2]. I am a bit fearful when it comes to Qt and resources as well, but I'd love to give it a try once we have the source and the app ported.
