According to
http://mobile-reportcard.wmflabs.org/graphs/ui-daily
clicks to the home page in the left navigation menu have been dropping
since Thursday 1st May. On Mon Apr 21 a search bar was put at the top
of all search pages. This would have hit
mediawiki.org late Thursday
24th and then all wikis by Thursday 1st May. This suggests that most
people were visiting the home link as a way to get back to the search
bar, so this seems like it has been a successful move.
The history link has proved popular and lots of people are clicking on
it. The user profile link is also proving popular.
Special:MobileOptions is interesting to look at
Looking at the graph it seems a lot of people visit the options page
and enter beta mode or disable images
http://mobile-reportcard.wmflabs.org/graphs/mobile-options
The fact the lines follow a simple trend suggests that opting into
beta and turning off images are done at the same time in many of these
cases. I wonder how many of these people actually wanted to turn off
images and how many people were just playing around?
