For those of you who read Wikipedia in more than one language, your opinion of the following would be extremely helpful:

On the main site, switching to another language by selecting other language versions of an article switches the language in the search bar.

On mobile, is it better to switch the language of the article and not the search language?

Those of you using the Android app currently have the separated experience - article language is not necessarily the same as the search language. This is based on the belief that searches would usually be done in one main language, even though the article may be read in more than one language.

On the desktop, keeping multiple tabs open makes it easy to return to the main language for further searches.

Or, should the search language change with the article language?

What is your preference?

Thanks for your feedback.
