Hi Jane,

At the moment, Wikipedia Zero for the web is generally only available over HTTP. But we'll be putting in a patch relatively soon to enable Wikipedia Zero UI chrome for HTTPS for operators supporting IP address-based zero-rating, which will bring in editing on HTTPS.

Historically, partner operators have zero-rated based on destination URL/domain name, which on a technical level for all intents and purposes precluded HTTPS editing, but we're in the process of transitioning carriers to destination IP address-based zero-rating.

A number of carriers actually already have started or rolled over to IP address-based zero-rating, and we're excited to offer this critical functionality for free.

Thanks!
-Adam

Nice article! But isn't Wikipedia Zero still read-only?
