Hi Steve
I don't know of anything that has been done yet - but I would be extremely interested in different skins for media wiki mobile. The mobile site doesn't quite support skins yet - but certainly wants to.

If you're interested in doing some work there please feel free [1]. Otherwise you could hack $wgResourceModules['mobile']['styles'] to provide an alternative skin.

Keen to see what you come up with.
Join us in #wikimedia-mobile on irc.freenode.org if you have any problems and want a quicker response.

Best wishes

Hi list,

I am interested in flipping the MediaWiki layout along a diagonal. The top user and page actions would be on the left hand side.  The left hand menu would be on the top.  The page would scroll to the right rather than down.

I was planning to create a custom skin with emerging CSS standards to achieve this effect.  Does anyone know of any work or opinion that has been done on this matter?
