There is currently a discussion taking place at:

regarding a proposal to change the MoS to prohibit the use of
coordinates in articles about highways (aka roads/ motorways).

This would remove them from the new app's "nearby" view.

That's probably the right thing for now; without a way to usefully describe them as .... long windy things ... coordinates are not very useful on roads or rivers.
