Last week we did some testing on
usertesting.com that revealed a major
discoverability problem with the UI that used the W as the Main Menu button.
We also tested a new approach that used the W as an emblem within the
search field and used a recognizable Main Menu icon. The Action Bar icon is
still not unambiguous so we will keep working on that one.

We are moving ahead with the new button approach and will have a version on
the beta site soon.
