Dear Mobile-l Community,
Wikimania 2025 is just around the corner! This year, we celebrate "Wikimania at 20" with the powerful theme of "Inclusivity. Impact. Sustainability." The event will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from August 6 to 9, with a pre-conference on August 5.
We are currently seeking program proposals relevant to this inspiring theme. Submissions can take many forms: presentations, panels, workshops, lightning talks, or discussions. We’d love to hear from you!
Proposals can be presented in various formats:
● Remote presentations from the comfort of your home or workplace.
● Pre-recorded sessions to share at the conference.
● Onsite presentations in Nairobi, Kenya.
As experts in mobile platforms, web, apps, and tablets, you’re uniquely positioned to share insights into how mobile technologies drive inclusivity, sustainability, and impact in Wikimedia’s global efforts.
To help spark ideas, here are a few topics that may align with the conference theme:
● Sustainable mobile innovations that amplify accessibility and knowledge-sharing for underrepresented communities.
● Impactful case studies of mobile apps or tools that have enhanced collaboration within Wikimedia projects.
● Discussions on designing inclusive mobile interfaces that reach and empower diverse users.
