Hello,
i have two wikis on one Server running.
Server: Debian Linux, Apache2, php5.1.6 and mysql 4.0.24. One wiki is the stable version 1.8.2 and the other wiki is from the svn repositories. They both use the same Database.
I also want them to share the same uploadfolder. But i do not now how to set it up in the LocalSettings.php
it should look like this
Wiki 1:
/var/www/http/wikistable
Wiki 2:
/var/www/http/wikiunstable
Uploadfolder for both:
/var/www/http/wikiupload
Thanks for help...
Dennis
I think a recommendation is to create a "poolwiki" - like Wikimedia Commons - to upload to, and have all your wikis share that. The technique is detailed somewhere on Meta...

Is it not possible to set the values in the LocalSettings.php?
$wgUploadPath = "$wgScriptPath/images"; $wgUploadDirectory = "$IP/images";
I tried it like $wgUploadPath = "/var/www/http/wikiupload";

I'm sure it is, I was just making a suggestion which might work better, especially if you later have more wikis.

I do not want to have more wikis. They both loock the same. The only difference is. One is stable and one not.
and when I do it like this:
$wgUploadPath = "/var/www/http/wikiupload";
the wiki does not find it. I can move it inside the wiki root. That works. When I move it outside the wiki root the wiki will not find it...

I solved it in a different way. I used symlinks. But this is just a workaround. If someone still can tell me how i can set it up in the LocalSettings.phpwould be nice.
