Does anyone know of an extension that can mass delete images
I have not done this but it looks like you can run a bot to do it: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Pywikibot/Use_on_third-party_wikis you will need shell access to upload the files then create an account for the bot: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Pywikibot/delete.py

You don't need shell access to run pywikipedia
