I recently installed MediaWiki 1.4beta3 on the NSwiki (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php). This was an upgrade from MediaWiki 1.3.9. Although I'm overall quite pleased with the upgrade, I have noticed that the ~~~~~ code used to give timestamps is not working properly; instead, it is returning one's signature and timestamp followed by a tilde (example: Rechze (talk) 12:35, 28 Dec 2004 (GMT)~). How do I remedy this?
Thanks, Goobergunch
Just use four rather than five tildes.
~~~ expands to just the user name.
~~~~ expands to the user name and time stamp.
The extra tilde just gets "expanded" to an extra tilde

Upgrade to beta 4, it's been fixed already.
Beta 4 hasn't been released yet ;) but you can grab the current REL1_4 branch from CVS.
