The JavaScript URLs work fine, and they weren't too difficult to adapt to my own MediaWiki installation. The URL rewrite stuff that redirects the 404 URL to thumb.php is what seems to be missing, and it affects all image types. I don't know what command is being used to render SVG thumbs. How do I find that info? I just tried running: convert -resize 120 Template-info.svg Template-info.png and I got: convert: unable to open image `Template-info.png': Permission denied. I checked my permissions, and it looks like the owner of some of the image directories is "webservd", while most of the others are the main user for the wiki account. The webservd owner directory permissions are 0755 while the main user directories are 0777. The root "images" directory is owned by the main user, and is 0777. Is that normal, or is it likely that the issue is actually a permissions problem? Or maybe I just need to su to run the convert command? OK, I ran it again but to a different directory, I got the exact same image you see on the site: distorted. So, ImageMagick works but it's giving me distorted PNG's. Hello everyone, I am Mike, I run www.lawiki.org and was introduced to this list last night on the IRC channel. I thought I would introduce myself and say hi, I am living on the beach in Chiba Japan, so if anyone is in this area give me a shout. With lawiki we are trying to deliver all law subject material to anyone who needs it, accurate and up to date(-ish) I am currently having 3 issues and perhaps someone could guide me 1) Facebook connect does not seem to work for me - must be related to my database prefix which is a little messy 2) I need to find out a way to parse page title into a widget, magic-words did not do the trick 3) I have massive red-links issue on over 2000 pages due to some early naming convention mistakes. Someone wrote a script in C that would correct it and this is 80% finished, but this person left and I am not able to continue fine tuning it on my own. This script will run on a database dump and will automatically chance all links and titles to a correct naming convention. Anyways, Hi Mike

I switched to rsvg, and I notice no difference. I have no idea. A file is definitely being delivered to the browser, one way or another, and I don't think it's cached. I only get that error when not logged into the wiki. It requires login to view it. Log in with Demo/test and try again. Yes, that is correct, but I'm worried you have run out of ideas on how to fix it :) Although image functionality seems to be working, it still has the two problems of not working on a plain URL resize (where there is normally a 404 and redirect to thumb.php) and also having distorted SVG's. Right now, the URL 404 resize is the bigger problem, since SVG's aren't as widely used.
