By what means could a pop-up window be created? Is there something
already built into Mediawiki? I'm feeling clueless here.

You could create a skin without all that other stuff
(e.g.,
navigation, tabs, header), and open the "index card" in a pop-up, so
users could print using their browser and then close the window.

of a page
My Wiki has some pages that have text that I'd like to be printable to
an index card. I've used CSS to create a box with the text inside.
Is there a way to just print this box + text without all the other
stuff on the page?
