Dear all,

anyone tell me what mw developer doing? why they are not talking about
oracle support even further development.
MediaWiki does not have, never has had, and most likely never will have
stable Oracle database support. There's very little demand for it, and very
few people seem interested in maintaining it. Certainly we have no need for
it at Wikimedia Foundation and nobody pays us any money to support it for
them. Some people may occasionally work on improving the Oracle support, but
nobody ever keeps it up ongoing, so we never ever recommend it to anyone --
and occasionally remove it entirely because it doesn't work at all anymore.
Don't use it, don't plan to use it, and don't expect it to exist in any
particular current or future version. If you choose to use it, you will be
responsible for making sure it works yourself.
If you want a stable MediaWiki database install, use MySQL. Nothing else is
consistently well supported; PostgreSQL is the closest number 2 and I
wouldn't recommend it for MediaWiki production use either for much the same
reasons as above.
