How would I change the sidebar width? (I'm
using monobook).
Actually, I want to get rid of the whole sidebar, which I figured out
how to do, but now I have the empty space where it used to be, and I
want to have the content of the page fill up that space.
I'd love to see instructions on how to remove it. I've seen it done
here and there, but I never did manage to do it myself.
I believe the #content div is controlled in the skin style sheet, in
my case:
/skins/monobook/main.css
This style:
#content {
margin: 3em 0 0 12.2em;
padding: 0 1em 1.5em 1em;
background: white;
color: #8c594a;
border: 1px solid #8c594a;
line-height: 1.5em;
position: relative;
z-index: 2;
width:600px;
}
Try changing the left margin, set above at 12.2em to a lesser amount
of space.
