I'm trying to load xml data into database not backing up my database.
I saw MySQLDumper has restore script that can read data from .gz file
back into database but not sure if it does what I need. I'll take a look at
it.

That's ok if you're trying to dump a MySQL database. But better to use
something like mysqldump or one of the hotbackup tools (like
xtrabackup). Even better, get a webhost that doesn't make you jump
through hoops to get a backup of your own DB!!!
Anyway, that's all irrelevant. This thread has nothing to do with DB
backups.
