Issues with a parser function extension magic word

I wrote an extension that defines a parser function called firebaseraw. I setup the magic word in my .i18n.php file like so: $magicWords = array(); $magicWords['en'] = array( 'firebaseraw' => array( 0, 'firebaseraw' ), ); I register the function hook (along with three tag hooks) in onParserFirstCallInit() like so: public static function onParserFirstCallInit( Parser $parser ) { $parser->setHook( 'firebase', 'FirebaseHooks::wfFirebaseRender' ); $parser->setFunctionHook( 'firebaseraw', 'FirebaseHooks::wfFirebaseRenderRaw' ); $parser->setHook( 'fb-map', 'FirebaseHooks::wfMapRender' ); $parser->setHook( 'fb-navbox', 'FirebaseHooks::wfNavboxRender' ); return true; } I'm trying to use the extension in two different wiki installations. In one, it works. In the other, the {{#firebaseraw }} markup remains and the error_log reads: "" is not a valid magic word for "firebaseraw" Any ideas? Does this mean my magicWords array is not getting read correctly? --Benny

Issues upgrading mediawiki from a really old version

Hi Folks, I have been tasked with upgrading a wiki from mediawiki 1.11.0 to the latest version. I started with a VM running SLES 11 R2, Mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.96, for suse-linux-gnu (x86_64) using EditLine wrapper and PHP 5.2.14. There have been several issues related to images and the highly configured skin that was designed. I have been able to work around some of these issues, but can't seem to get it to work with anything beyond version 1.15.5. Even then there has been some sort of an issue where I am unable to login to make page modifications. I then upgraded to PHP 5.3.8 and now I cannot access any .php pages. I am prompted to download the file. Additionally, I have attempted to start fresh with version 1.19.3 and can't get past the php file downloading issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Strange behavior when trying to add an article to multiple categories

Hello, After upgrade to 1.20 I have been noticing a strange behavior. An article "A" is created. I try to add it to Category "B", "C", "D" and "E". I use a template in order to add it in all those categories. And I can only see "A" in "B" and "C" after I save it. It doesnt appear in D or E. I do something like (inside "A"): {{B}} {{C}} {{Combine D and E}} // This template have {{D}} and {{E}} which are also templates to categories "D" and "E" After I change de order: {{B}} {{Combine D and E}} {{C}} It works! And if I reorder it back it stays OK (at least so far). My question is: What have changed? The order is kind of important and changing it for every article I create only to make it appear seems a bit silly. It looks like once it appears on the category it will stay there Any thougths? -- Cheers Eduardo

Automatic access configurations after login (permissions, etc)

Hi. Probably it's a commom question. So, I have five groups and I would like that mediawiki could protect users to show/edit/etc pages of groups they don't belong to. I know there's some extensions but all that I've found requires that the user write down an specific tag in the page. I would like that the protection could be automatically, I mean, that mediawiki already know that the logged user creates pages automaticaly protected from users of the another groups. I know it's a wiki, so... that's not the focus of a tool like mediawiki, but I already have tons of pages and I need to implement that permission approach. Any help/idea? Thanks! Alex Brazil

New version of Semantic Bundle released

Hello everyone, We're very pleased to announce that a new version of Semantic Bundle, the Semantic MediaWiki-based extension package, is now available. This is the first release of Semantic Bundle in nine months, which is the longest gap that has occurred between two SB releases. That gap was caused by the move of all the extensions from SVN to Git, which itself took several months, followed by the need to update the SB scripts to work with Git, which took quite a bit longer than it should have. But the release of Semantic MediaWiki 1.8 was a good opportunity to finally update everything. This new version of Semantic Bundle includes the same set of extensions as the previous one, although nearly all of the extensions are at a newer version. Can DPL access Translate statistics?

Unfortunately that statistic is fairly meaningless, without knowing the extent of completion. What I really need is to be able to insert a line into the query that checks the language statistic (the language bar knows it, so I feel it must be possible) and returns a result if it is within a fixed range. I'd like to be able to split into <50%, >75%, >90% - so I guess that means I'll have to define a range for each, but where will the data be found? If I'm going about this in the wrong way, can you point me to a better way? Maps and Semantic Maps 2.0.1 released

Hey all, I am happy to announce the immediate availability of Maps and Semantic Maps 2.0.1. This minor release includes some important bugfixes for Google Maps, most notably the working of infowindows, which broke due to a change in the Google Maps API. It also improved compatibility with SMW 1.8 and the upcoming 1.9.
