When I save a _Yahoo_ email address into my wiki user's "My
preferences" on my MediaWiki 1.16.1 at teflchina.org I never get the
confirmation email in my Yahoo mail box. Same for my wikigogy.org
MediaWiki 1.16.0 on the same server.
Gmail and other email addresses get the confirmation emails from my
wiki fine. Only Yahoo email address don't get the confirmation emails.
I saved the same email address (m2_cn at yahoo dot com) in my user
preferences on Wikiversity.org and got the confirmation email in my
Yahoo mail box fine. But not on my own small MediaWikis.
Yahoo _seems_ to be dropping my wiki's confirmation emails without
even bouncing them back to my server. I see some bounced confirmation
emails in my server in /home/roger/mail/new/<here> from bogus
addresses attempted by spam bots creating users on my wiki. Nothing
from Yahoo though.
My email server identifies itself in emails as cpanel68.gzo.com. That
is the shared server I am on at Dathorn.com where I host my site.
What can I do so that Yahoo will not drop my wiki's confirmation emails?
Anyone else had this problem?
Is there any way to upload files to a specific namespace? I assigned
users/groups/rights to different namespaces, son I need the same scheme for
files. Is this possible?
Thank you very much for your advice.

Basically the extension is a wrapper/interface for the FCKEditor.
When you unpack the extension, you have the following directories structure:
+--- fckeditor (this directory contains the "real" fckeditor)
+--- <the files of the extension>
In both FCKeditor and fckeditor a file called FCKeditor.php exist.

promis et celas aliusque et idem
nasceris, possis nihil urbe Roma
As the number of wikis we host increases, I worry about our single mysql server becoming a bottleneck. I assume that by modifying $wgDBserver in the different copies of LocalSettings.php, I can point each wiki to a different port that is running a different instance of mysql.
But is this worth doing? My concern is that when we do db intensive stuff on wiki A, wikis B...X will underperform.

I am a bit stuck here. I need to change the footer of my wiki. I want to insert a link to an external disclaimer.
I do know about the array in the skins directory which is $footerlinks. I think the 'disclaimer' there links to my language File where a link is built from 'disclaimers' and 'disclaimerspage'. Every time I change a value there to http://example.com/disclaimer.php the link isn't built properly.
So what do I exactly have to change to get a proper link in my footer?
Logs are you friends :-)
If the file is there then there could be a permissions problem somewhere in the directory path. Even though you may have permission to find the file, the web server, which is calling it, may not. Check the permissions of each directory in the file's path and the filename to see that the web user (e.g., apache) can get to that file and read it.
It may help to watch the log file as you are using the wiki. The error below looks like it happened when you opened the Softwareversie page and it was trying to check the version of the FCKeditor. There are probably other errors, for example when you try to edit a page since that is not working. More information from the logs may help narrow down the problem.

Tried to exclude all other extensions but to no avail
Finally found the logfiles in the new version of Plesk and found the following
