css for namespaces

Hi, I would like to use separate style sheets for different namespaces. I found this in MonoBook.php: <?php if($this->data['pagecss']) { ?><style type="text/css"><?php $this->html('pagecss') ?></style> (line 96 in 1.15) could there be a similar function? Something like: "If there is a Mediawiki page called {{NAMESPACE}}.css, use it"...? thanks Bernhard

parser problem with complex transclusion

I ran into a strange behavior of the parser (MediaWiki 1.15.0): in our wiki a page is build by calling two nested templates which call several semantic inline queries which then call a format template to show the results. one of the format template arguments is a list of names (of people) for which another template finds corresponding to the current year an affiliation. with few results (of the inline queries) this works fine. but, with many results only a very blank page is shown. the strange thing is that the preview works fine. I tried to change increase the following parameters ,---- | | ini_set( 'memory_limit', '100M' ); | $wgMaxPPExpandDepth=100; | $wgMaxPPNodeCount=10000000; `---- but none seemed to solve this problem. also the source code of the preview of the problematic page says: ,---- | | Preprocessor node count: 13901/1000000 | Post-expand include size: 439559/2097152 bytes | Template argument size: 37595/2097152 bytes | Expensive parser function count: 0/100 `---- any ideas/help is very much appreciated! preview and edit page side by side

Hello, when a screen format is 16/9 it should be convenient to have the preview and edit page side by side instead of one above the other. Is there any extension providing such a layout ? Thanks Francois Colonna

Strange bug displaying "1..0" on a blank page

Hi, I have a very strange bug which appears only on the following page : http://fr.wikimini.org/wiki/Test (I can only see "1..0" on a blank page !) Revision page seems OK : http://fr.wikimini.org/w/index.php?title=Test&action=history What does it mean ??? Laurent

Blank homepage after upgrade

Hello, I have upgraded a wiki from 1.11.0 to 1.15.2, and it appears that I have to change my include_path variable so that it can find the necessary files. Where do I change the include_path variable, so that it will include the path that it displays in the log below? Migrating from Mindtouch / Deki wiki to Mediawiki?

Hi, I have been unable to find anything on the web about converting an existing wiki from Mindtouch to Mediawiki. The reverse is very well documented and supported, but not many people seem to be moving away from Mindtouch. In any case, if anybody knows of ways to do it or tools/scripts that are available, please let me know. (Please CC me on any replies to this message) Cheers, Francois

Importing only new articles

Hi all, I'm looking for a way to import about 10,000 articles into a wiki. The only catch is about 1000 of these articles have already been created. Ideally i would like to import only the articles that don't exist and not have any article get overwritten by the import. Is there a good extension/tool to prevent an import from overwriting pages that already exist? I have a feeling that the answer is no and I will have to write a code that would query the api and disregard found articles. Has anyone done this before? Thanks so much, Patrick
