It properly converts Apple Numbers stuff, as well. I guess the incorrect handling of delimited separators is not so important as long as you only do copy/paste from Excel or Numbers, which defaults to tab delimiters. Hi James, This is just a work around, but have you tried clicking the "remember me" checkbox when you log in before you import? Question about how to get admin access

Hello, I am new to MediaWiki and couldn't find the answer to my problem in the docs. Maybe I was just blind but I hope someone here can help me. I have to manage a MediaWiki installation that has already bin in place for a while. I have to add an user with admin rights, for example to change the navigation on the very left. Currently there seems to be no admin user (or sysop). I have root access to the file system and the MySQL db. In the user table there is only one entry for myself and in the user_groups, there are no entries at all. Is there a way to add a user with all admin rights without doing a new installation? Import failed: Loss of session data

I'm trying to import a lot of pages (Special:Import) but I keep getting this error: "Import failed: Loss of session data" Is this mediaWiki or php? I doubt that I can modify the php settings, but if I can, what do I need to do (temporarily)? If it's mW, what setting? James

Sorry, but I do not. Default path settings

Is there a reason a bunch of paths get set in Setup.php, rather than DefaultSettings.php? Or rather, is there any reason not to change this? Some problems I've seen with it: * It's confusing—people look up a variable like $wgStylePath in DefaultSettings.php only to find that it's false and magically gets set to "{$wgScriptPath}/skins" somewhere else. * Because Setup.php is included after Local/DefaultSettings.php, you can't necessarily depend on the paths that are set there For instance, setting $wgLogo in LocalSettings.php will use the wrong path unless you set $wgStylePath too or don't rely on it at all < http://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Manual_talk:$wgStylePath&oldid=2…
