Hello All,
I am supporting a MediaWiki installation with the following stats:
MediaWiki (http://wikipedia.sf.net/): 1.4.12
PHP (http://www.php.net/): 5.1.2 (apache2handler)
MySQL (http://www.mysql.com/): 5.0.18
Everything seems to be working except the search function. No matter
what it returns 0 results, even when I search with terms found in the
wikidb/searchindex table. I realize the first thing everyone would say
is "Upgrade that puppy", but upgrading isn't going to be feasible in the
near future.
The only errors I can see anywhere are in the apache log,:
PHP Notice: Only variable references should be returned by reference in
/vol0/www/localhost/htdocs/mediawiki/includes/SkinTemplate.php
The error also comes up when searching. I may be barking up the wrong
tree here in thinking this is a symptom of the issue.
I've repaired the searchindex table just in case, and still can't
search. I apologize if this is a commonly known issue, but I can't find
anything in google to help me troubleshoot it. Search is a rather
important feature of our wiki.
What do you think could be the problem?

Indeed, I've checked with Opera and the link seems to be OK.
The problem occurs in IE only, and this is a big problem for us, since the majority of users use this browser :(
Could anyone check it with IE and suggest some solution?

If do you mean ?> with < /php>, it's not strictly required at the end of the
file. -MGrabovsky

I got the code, called the file anywebsite.php, that's the way they said
And add the following to my LocalSettings.php
include("extensions/anywebsite.php");
I tried using the require once but still not working.
Do I need any special extension to run an extension?

There's someone in another thread having similar problems with that
extension... there might be bug.

Hello All,
After wiki upgrade I witness very strange phenomenon.
Please look at this page:
http://wikiedtech.edu.haifa.ac.il/
Now search for HiLearn. This word was a link. Now it seems like a link but the actual link are words near it (go with your mouse to the right from HiLearn and you'll see).
It seems that the problem is on main page only with various links.
Any help?
Best Regards,
Leon
