Hello,
i have some strange behaviour of the skin.
Sometimes suddenly, the links in my wiki get underlined (only when i use the Internet Explorer). If i restart apache, they are normal again, not underlined.
Why?
S.W.
I have done some heavy modification to mediawiki and invisionboard (2.1)
They use the same member database and same (similar) skins:

Does anybody know of a script to make IPB 1.x work inside mediawiki (or
could somebody write one)? Thanks, shardsofmetal

Hi there! - I'm new - :)
I'm been attempting to install Mediawiki on Windows 2000 Server to use
over a LAN.
Installation method: EasyPHP.
If I use the server directly, the wiki works (using
http:\\localhost\wmwiki). But I can't access the wiki from any of the
client computers (using http:\\wmserver\wmwiki). "wmserver" is the DNS
name for my server.
I do have IIS installed, but I have moved it to port 8080, while Apache
runs on port 80. (I can access the IIS websites from the client
computers with no problems.)
So how do I get the client computers to see my wiki?
Thanks for any advice!
Ferry
My host wont allow writing to the server from another server--which means I cannot use the statup interface and must edit the scripts before uploading to the server. I've checked the ReadMe but cannot detemine which files to edit to set up the db etc.

Hi, a friend of mine installed the software on his server. Now he wants
to change the font for the whole site. I never did this with my own
wikis and really I don't know where to start here.
He found the following in common.css:
/* edit this file to customize the monobook skin for the entire site */
/* Colori di default */
#content { color : black; }
#content { background : white; }
Well it seems as if something has to be added there.
What to add for example that you want the font "Palatino" to be used?
Unfortunately the manual only says: "if you know how to do this, please
edit this section" or something similar.
Thanks for any help!
Ciao, Sabine

Hi, there,
what a pity. I tried it out, sometimes it works, but sometimes I get the
error
"'Laufzeitfehler 5941': Das angeforderte Element ist nicht in der Sammlung
vorhanden."
which, in English, is something like "'Run time error 5941': The requested
element is not available in the library."
If I start the debug mode, the following line is highlited:
.Style = ActiveDocument.Styles("Default Paragraph Font")
More suggestions, anyone?

Some guy wrote a VB script to translate word to wiki [1]. You may give it
a try.
Cheers

Hi There,
I am running a wiki site at http://www.kgv.nl/ (in dutch). The last few
weeks i am getting empty pages every now and then. It does not matter if
i am submutting changes or reading articles. i then keep hitting refresh
and after 1 minute the requested page shows up. sometimes it takes 2 to
3 minutes. html pages or using phpmyadmin do not show this behaviour.
thoughts? anyone?
