The main purpose is to simply represent the geographical entities, not to manipulate them. <br><br>The Maps extension basically just translates wikitext to mapping service JavaScript, with the PHP in between for validation and the logic needed to figure out what JS is needed. Some manipulations are done of course, but that&#39;s not the point here.<br>
