Hello all,

If you aren't aware yet, the Wikimedia Foundation had initiated a movement brand renaming project: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Communications/Wikimedia_brands/2030_movement_brand_project

The process undertaken by the Foundation has garnered controversy and a significant pushback from the community. And following an all-affiliates community call that was held last June 21[1], it was decided that an open letter[2] be created requesting the Foundation to temporarily stop the branding project and restart it to be more inclusive.

If you are a member[3] of the Wikimaps User Group, which is an officially recognized affiliate of the Foundation, we have started a straw poll to determine if the user group, as an affiliate, should sign the open letter. Please check out the straw poll here and add your vote:

Due to the short notice, the poll will be closed on Friday, July 26 at 12:00 UTC.

Regards,
Eugene
