Hello Anass,
You are one of two admins of wikimedia-ma mailing list and thus you have been added to
this list. If you're an admin of any mailing list, you will be added here so you would
be notified of changes coming to the mailing list you maintain. It's not a
"please do this". It's part of your responsibility as an admin of mailing
lists. The only exception being that if you are already subscribed under another email
address.
If you don't wish to stay admin of that mailing list, you can remove yourself and I
remove you from this mailing list too.

Hello,
Can anyone of the people who created this mailing list explain the reason why it was
created and why I (and other people) was added here?
Usually people join mailing lists, but in this one it feels like that they were added
without discussion or notification :D I would like to have some background and context to
understand what is going on. I would really appreciate that.
Thank you in advance for your explanations.
Best regards,
Anass

Regarding the url change:
<https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikitech-l> will change to
<https://lists.wikimedia.org/postorius/lists/wikitech-l.lists.wikimedia.org/>
Is there a technical reason which requires including the list domain ine name?
I would seem preferable by far to use instead:
https://lists.wikimedia.org/postorius/lists/wikitech-l<https://lists.wik…
and since all (?) our lists are using
@list.wikimedia.org<http://list.wikimedia.org>, it's not like we need the domain
there to disambiguate it.
Cheers
