Hello all,

I'm very excited to share that Thursday, July 12th is GLAM Night Out at the beautiful Newseum in Washington DC.

Consumer Reports, thanks to their recent partnership with Wikimedia and their Wikipedian in Residence Lane Rasberry, has partnered with the GLAM-Wiki US community to throw a fabulous party at the Newseum on the first evening of Wikimania.

This will be the launch of the GLAM-Wiki US Consortium, a forthcoming network of GLAM professionals, organizations, and Wikipedians. The event includes a reception and networking event for Wikipedians, GLAM professionals, and other nonprofit and media professionals, followed by a media panel discussion on conflicts of interest in science and medicine.

We encourage all Wikipedians involved in or interested in GLAM to attend. This will be a fun time to connect with the GLAM-Wiki community and network with GLAM professionals and beyond.

Please see the Wikimania page for information: http://wikimania2012.wikimedia.org/wiki/GLAM_Night_Out
The event is free but registration is required:  http://bit.ly/RSVPnewseum

Also, don't forget that the Wikipedia Loves Libraries workshop will be held on Wednesday:  http://wikimania2012.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_Loves_Libraries

Please distribute as you'd like and we hope to see you there!
