On behalf of Wiki Loves Women Team, I am pleased to announce the launch of the Wiki Loves Women Skills Focus Programme 2026.

Following the successful conclusion of the Wiki Loves Women Focus Group, we are introducing this new initiative to provide community members with practical, hands-on skills that support their work within Wikimedia and Open Knowledge communities.

The WLW Skills Focus Programme is a short, collaborative online training programme focused on learning through practice. Each edition is centered on a specific skill set and guides participants towards creating a tangible final output.

For the 2026 edition, participants will explore audio storytelling and podcast production, learning how to develop, record, edit, and publish a podcast episode from start to finish..

To help interested participants learn more about the programme, the team will host an Office Hour on 15 June 2026 at 13:00 UTC. During this session, we will introduce the programme, explain the application process, and answer any questions from prospective participants. (Register here)
