Hope this email finds you well.
Early in February, we emailed you announcing that the Board of Trustees ratified the Universal Code of Conduct early, and that we'll reach out again to invite you to participate in phase 2 of the UCoC project.
In this phase, we would like to engage Wiki Communities and Affiliates of all sizes and experiences in discussions through participants can share their ideas, thoughts and concerns about the UCoC implementation, reporting and enforcement pathways.
As you know, the implementation and enforcement of the UCoC requires the continuous cooperation of international communities to define clear definitions of enforcement pathways and processes. This needs to be done in a way that does not contradict with the internal bylaws and codes of conduct currently in place, but rather to support them and complement their deficiencies, if any.
We invite you to play an active role in bringing about this change; this is a common goal that cannot be done by one or a few parties. The change is global, and will affect all participants of the Wikimedia movement, individuals and communities. We need to hear your voices, to learn from your experiences and benefit from your ideas for solutions.
I would like to invite you for a meeting to discuss the initial thoughts and agree on how we can engage the group members. Please suggest the time that suits you for the meeting and which members you would like to invite. You may also prefer to conduct an internal meeting, in this case we can provide the main questions we would like to get feedback about; finally, we prepared a survey to be taken by members of all authority levels including non-decision makers. Please let us know what your preference is.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated
