Hi everyone,
Santali is a language from the Indian subcontinent with around 6.3 billion speakers. The request https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Santali for the Wikipedi in Santali has been there for long and it was a part of CIS-A2K's 2014-15 Work Plan https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/CIS-A2K//Work_plan_July_2014_-_June_2015/Making_the_Santali_Wikipedia_Live as well.
The volunteer community has been working actively https://tools.wmflabs.org/meta/catanalysis/index.php?cat=0&title=wp/sat&wiki=incubatorwiki since September 2017 and all the translations https://tools.wmflabs.org/robin/?tool=codelookup&code=sathave been completed as well.
In a campaign of supporting Indian language Wikipedia program coordinated by Wikimedia Foundation , Google, Centre for Internet and Society (CIS), Wikimedia India chapter (WMIN), two of their editors, Ramjit Tudu https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Ramjit_Tudu and Fagu Baskey https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Fagu_Baskey have received laptops for their consistent effort for Santali Wikipedia ( https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Supporting_Indian_Language_Wikipedias_Progra...).
I even got some sample articles from a volunteer:
