Last Friday, however, after many years of not hearing anything about it, I heard from somebody who knows the language and is interested in being a contributor.
So let's give it, let's say, half a year, and see if something moves thanks to this person. If nothing substantial happens, let's close it

Oh, I saw this thread late. It's a very positive thing that there is a contributor, but I'm very skeptical that they can sustain long-term contributions on their own.
Anyway, there is no compelling reason to close this right now, so I agree with your suggestion.

Back then, I met a person who sounded interested in contributing, but unfortunately, not much happened :(
So I don't have any objections to closing.
I hope that someone will revive it some day because the language is definitely alive, even if very small, but it can probably go to the Incubator now.

Here's my draft decision:
The proposal for closing the Cree Wikipedia should be accepted. While Cree is of course a living language, the wiki itself has never developed into an actual project: almost all pages are empty or test edits, and most of them have been moved to "Archive" subpages during the course of this closing proposal. Despite waiting an additional half year after a potential contributor expressed interest, no substantial content or community has emerged. In this situation, keeping the wiki open is not useful, so it will be closed and the pages moved to the Incubator (possibly excluding super-short pages of dubious quality), where any future contributors will still be able to build something in Cree if interest arises.

Probably most of the green names related to this project are its subpages; https://cr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Archives And it seems like nothing has changed in the 10 years since it was created. If this project has no valid content, there is no harm in closing it.
