I've read through the discussion again which ensued predominantly in
May, and have answered Wertuose's renewed request accordingly.
Gerard, in the last comment thread on this, you had written "I am in
the process of looking into things". Please inform us of that
process. There still is Michael's proposal on the table:

So far, the majority has expressed agreement with what Michael
called "Method A". What has to happen in order to come to a
consensus on the issue?
If we cannot get a unanimous decision on method A, I expect you,
Gerard, to propose an alternative solution on which we can then
