If I recall correctly, the issue was that this language can be written in both Sylheti and Bengali scripts, and the Incubator content is only in the Sylheti script, so some people in the committee weren't sure how to proceed.
*Asking* an expert about that doesn't presuppose approval. Quite the contrary—if no one in our committee knows the language and no one is sure which script should be used, asking an external expert is the only right way forward. Maybe the expert will say that the Sylheti script is better in the first place. Maybe the expert will say that using the Sylheti script is a bad idea, and it should be only the Bengali script, and in this case we probably shouldn't approve. Maybe the expert will say that both scripts are acceptable, and since the activity till now has been in the Sylheti script, that's how it should continue, but Bengali should be allowed, too. Maybe it will be something else. I honestly don't know.
So if anyone can find an independent and trustworthy expert, that will resolve the issue.
