I think we should cut our losses and move on. The project sees about 200
edits per month
<https://stats.wikimedia.org/#/pl.wikinews.org/contributing/edits/normal|bar|2-year|~total|monthly>,
and the majority of the top edited pages
<https://stats.wikimedia.org/#/pl.wikinews.org/contributing/top-edited-pages/normal|table|last-month|~total|monthly>
from last month was on recent deaths, all one-sentence pieces -- like this
one <https://pl.wikinews.org/wiki/Piotr_Machalica_nie_%C5%BCyje>. Sorry, I
may be a bit biased here because I believe Wikinews is a failed project in
its entirety, but in any case we would be right to expect a level of
activity from its editions that exceeds what we would expect from other
projects that can actually afford to be dormant.

There is a

marked by StevenJ81 to be revisited around 1 December 2019. Since there is
some activity on the wiki, I propose to close this closing proposal as
unsuccessful.
