There is a request to add the support for the Osage language (code osa) to Wikidata:

It can be written in Latin and in the Osage script.

Michael was deeply involved in researching the Osage people's writing practices when adding it to Unicode, so perhaps he can give good advice about how values in this language should be stored in Wikidata. I imagine that the values will be mostly native names of Osage people and places.

Should we assume that "osa" values are written in the Osage script, and recommend adding transliteration in Latin as a qualifier?

Or should we also add a full-fledged "osa-latn" code?

Or maybe do something else?
