According to some mail from the board some years ago, we can nowadays proceed with approving new languages without contacting them at all, no? ;)

According to the Language Committee Handbook,[1] I am notifying you that the committee supports the creation of the Livvi-Karelian Wikipedia at the domain olo.wikipedia.org.

Livvi-Karelian[3] is one of the Karelian languages, spoken in Northern Russia. The Wikipedia in it has been active in the Incubator for over a year, and the texts in it were verified by an external expert (see the forwarded email below).

If there are no objections from the Board, then after four days I will request the creation of the domain from Wikimedia's operations people.
