Hallo!

I am going through https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Open_requests_for_new_languages , project by project, letter by letter, up to ten requests per email, one email per day.

I am now working on Wikipedia, and today I'm handling the letter S.

I took the liberty to delete https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_South_African_Sign_Language . It was posted by a user who didn't do much else, is blocked on two wikis for sockpuppet abuse, most of the request's content is copied from another website, so it's both worthless and a copyright violation, and there's no content in the Incubator.

== Siberian Tatar ==
Request: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Siberian_Tatar
Code: sty
My take: Eligible.

== Simple Esperanto ==
Request: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Simple_Esperanto
Code: -
My take: Not eligible according to the "different written forms of the same language" criterion. I have a vague recollection that there is a specific rule against approving new projects in "simple" languages, but I cannot find it.

== Sisaali ==
Request: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requests_for_new_languages/Wikipedia_Sisaali
Code: sil
My take: Eligible in theory, but unfortunately there was no activity after posting the request and answering some clarifying questions. I tried pinging the request creator.

== Southeastern Kolami ==
Code: nit
My take: Eligible.

== Sencilla es ==
Code: simplees
My take: Not eligible, at least formally. Similarly to Esperanto above.

== Spanish Visual Impairment ==
Code: -
My take: Not eligible. Helping visually-impaired people who speak Spanish is a valid goal, but it can be achieved within the same domain as the currently-existing Spanish Wikipedia.
