I know that I am throwing a lot of items out there in a short time for your information. Most of what I am trying to do for now is to dispose of old requests, particularly ones that should not really be controversial. To that end, in this email I am addressing
the following requests—opened in 2010 or earlier—for Wiktionaries:
- Meänkieli: Marked as eligible. (There is a Wikipedia
request already marked as eligible.)
- Wymysorys: Marked as eligible. (There is a Wikipedia request
already marked as eligible, under "Vilamovian")
- Romagnol: Marked as eligible. As you know, there
is a Wikipedia in "Emilia-Romagna" (langcode eml). SIL subsequently retired that code, dividing into a code for Emilian (egl) and one for Romagnol (rgn). The Wikipedia is really in Emilian and will eventually be recoded. There is a Wiktionary request for Emilian
already marked "eligible". But Romagnol is also clearly eligible.
- Slovincian: Rejected.
Has no valid language code; generally considered a dialect of Kashubian (csb). (The last non-housekeeping edit on this request was in 2010.)
I also marked a new request,
Wikisource Urdu, as eligible, because it clearly is.
Respectfully,
Steven
