Classical languages but also constructed languages are accepted to Wikidata. As we decided some time ago, they DO need an ISO-639-3 code.

One other reason why this will make a difference in time is that Commons will be supported by using information that exists in the labels in Wikidata. This means that children from any language can find pictures in their own language. It just takes one person to add the equivalent of "dog" and all the 100.000 pictures of a dog can be found... Development is likely to start in 6 months time. It is however a good idea to adapt to coming changes when you see them coming :)
