Boa tarde,
Paulo Santos Perneta (DarwIn)

Dear members of Wikimedia and Wikipedians
I write as a citizen and no longer as a member of Wikimedia, because I
made it clear to the Affcom and to the board of the Wikimedia Foundation
that I have not been part of the organization from many months ago. I did
not interfere in Wikimedia anymore. I do not want to do it anymore.
Incredibly, once again, I receive today (like any associate) a call for
an assembly, out of legal term. As you can see (registration RH353231640PT
– CTT mailing system), I received today, the 26th April, up to 14:00,
local time, the call for tomorrow the 27th. This is legislated in
Portugal (one week time as minimum). So this assembly has no legal
validity. As it seems that one of the items on the agenda is my expulsion,
I would have no chance of defense. Which is also not legal. I do not know
what the consequences are. Have these individuals totally lost their minds?
As it is known, I move away because of incompatibilities with people
from Portugal who, despite making some efforts to carry out some tasks in
the Wikimedia Movement, destroy more than benefit it. It's totally
counterproductive! Other people left successively, leaving the portuguese
chapter in a chronical and critical lapse of sustainability (and maybe of
reason to exists). As a matter fact, as it usually was in its lifetime.
However, there have recently been a set of facts that lead me to react:
It is totally unacceptable for insults and defamation to be made by these
persons or other attached to them. Now as an offended citizen, not as an
internal mate, and for considering unacceptable behavior, I have a
democratic, moral and legal right and a duty to communicate and defense.
Including asking for responsibilities to the Wikimedia Organization
representatives about this kind of “daydreams”.
I take this opportunity to share my surprise: at the fact that Wikimedia
Portugal is being held in the positions of the board by Brazilian citizens,
who were part of a banned Wikimedia group.
I may deal with the Portuguese media. Maybe they will find it funny or
interesting. (As there are not proper and considerable news anymore).
The Public Prosecutor of Portugal interpellated me, a couple of months
ago, if I was going to maintain the previous accusations against these same
people, those related to irregularities. I told them that I would not do
that. It did not deserve such work or expenditure of resources. Specially
time.
The question I ask all of you is if these people have nothing else to do
for the movement (?). Why do they waste so much time insulting people (?)
only because they can't feel them as their own chaps and trying to perturb
them with 5 or 6 years old standard childish comments or in aspirant
pre-teen macho tone comments, with connotations of contempt and a slightly
negative gender discrimination, getting to the point of calling "marias",
"marias group" to those who they want to achieve, out of their pathetic
mainstream (?). Moreover, trying to exclude former members, who already
excluded themselves (?).
"Borderline envy"? Thirst for revenge? What a strange compulsive
obsession! Is this a playground war game? Do these individuals feel so
powerful in their free time bullying? Is it "the final solution's
improvement strategy"?!
Ridiculous! As the entire Organization, if condescending, now seems to
be.
So many mistakes!
Shame on them!
Regards,
Joao
