Hola Alessandro,

Cordialmente,
Ester Bonet

Hi all,
I was asked today to be a facilitator in the 2019 elections of WMF's Board
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Affiliate-selected_Board_seats/Resolution_2019. I am interested to become a candidate because I feel much more involved in the form of the process than the politics, at least this year.
Some among you suggested I wrote also on this list for a feedback, so let me know if you have any comment.

I am a member of chapters and UGs and in my UG I am not the one who is charge of the direct connections to WMF. That means that I am not going to be the person who will cast the vote for WikiDonne in any case. Explaining to people in my main UG how and what to do it would have been my task in any case, because I attended the meeting, so maybe it's a more efficient use of time to help more UGs at the same time in doing so. I assume chapters know how to vote besides some changes, so the "literacy effort" will be probably more targeted to UGs at this round. In any case I am here to facilitate both, that is the elections as a whole, I am aware of it.

I have asked around, to chapters and UG people here in Berlin, people say I could be a good facilitator. I was told maybe we have already too much facilitators, in that case I can be a replacement.

As I said around, I think the whole process is rushed, and many people agree with this feeling, but it's there so we have to take the best out of it. That's why i feel the knowledge I have of it might be more useful as a guide.

Let me know,Alessandro
