Hi,
Is anyone against the idea of taking the current HEAD and making a release candidate of it? There is a number of unresolved bugs, but in my opinion, none of them should be considered blocking for anything. Thanks
Just fyi here: http://tools.wmflabs.org/huggle/toolstat/ and http://tools.wmflabs.org/huggle/toolstat/daily.php you can see some statistics of huggle usage on english wikipedia.
Huggle 3 is clearly used very rarely, compared to its previous versions, which are IMHO more bugged, slow and unstable. I think there is a huge number of people who would benefit from upgrading to current huggle 3 even if there are still some unresolved issues.

I'm okay for that to happen; your previous message indicates the level of people using Huggle 3 to Huggle 2 - if we can get an RC out we're a step closer to release and archive of previous Huggle versions to get people on Huggle 3.
The only that would block that is the sudden disappearance of keyboard shortcuts. Where did they go? D; On 2 May 2014 18:07, "Petr Bena" benapetr@gmail.com wrote:

RC just before or during the hackathon sounds like a great idea.

I am using qt 4 on ubuntu and qt5 in windows, but I can try qt 5 in ubuntu, though it's not officially supported
Release however has nothing to do with custom builds, released binaries for ubuntu will be using qt4 so this will not be a problem here
